YOUTH MINISTRIES

ALL OF OUR YOUTH HAVE GROWN UP, AND HARD AS IT IS TO BELIEVE, HAVE MOVED ON TO COLLEGE. WE HAVE A FRESH BATCH OF CHILDREN COMING UP AND WHEN THEY ARE A LITTLE OLDER THEY WILL ENJOY ALL THESE THINGS.

The Youth are the future of the Church. Youth in grades 7 through 12 are welcomed into this group. Our youth participate in Bible study and fun and games each Wednesday and Sunday nights.  They grow in their discipleship as they learn together, work together, serve together, and travel together. 

The youth participate in our worship services and collectively lead the worship during one service each year.  Many of the youth have chosen to serve God through help with our nursery. The youth are heavily involved with Vacation Bible School as both teachers and students.

Our teens develop a strong Christian bond with each other as they participate in bowling parties, skating parties, pool parties, and lock-ins.  The Youth enjoy their spring trips to the beach. Winter retreats to ski lodges provide great opportunities for fellowship, too.

Our Youth are Mission Minded and each year they raise funds to support several mission. At Valentines each year, the congregation dines at their "Italian Café", complete with live entertainment.  Car washes are another popular project for this active group. 

Each summer many of our youth participate in Salkehatchie Summer Service camps. Recently several of our youth went on mission trips to an Indian Reservation in Montana and out of the country to Haiti.
